Promoting and Improving Environmental Education for people of all ages in New Jersey

The Watershed Partnership for New Jersey (WPNJ)

WPNJ is a diverse group of organizations whose mission is to enhance watershed awareness through education and community involvement. This statewide network includes watershed associations, conservation organizations, government agencies, academia, business, industry and concerned individuals.

WPNJ is a statewide network of watershed education and outreach education representatives from more than 70 not-profit, federal, state, county and local agencies, educational institutions, and private industry. WPNJ is an affiliate organization of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE).

The mission of the Watershed Partnership for New Jersey is to enhance watershed awareness through education and community involvement and to create a statewide network of watershed resources.

WPNJ's objectives are to:

  • Establish a watershed resources network
  • Enhance watershed awareness through education
  • Encourage community watershed involvement, and
  • Strengthen alliances and partnerships among watershed groups.

WPNJ partners meet on the second Thursday of March, June, September, and December.
