Coalition for Schoolyard Habitats This group is an affiliate of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education. Its purpose is networking and support for the use and development of outdoor classrooms. Members of the organization represent state government (NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife, NJ Division of Parks & Forestry), private conservation groups, private, state and county environmental education centers, and private and public schools. Through ANJEE, there is a certification program for schoolyard habitats. Workshops are offered by the Division of Fish & Wildlife to introduce teachers to habitat management and activities to use with students to teach them about wildlife and habitat. Teachers interested in networking with other schoolyard habitat practitioners can request information about schools in their area.
