ANJEE affiliate status was established to assist groups with similar environmental education missions in pursuing their goals without the encumbrance of creating a new not-for-profit structure. Affiliate groups or organizations are formed for the purpose of developing or enhancing a shared interest. The affiliation is of mutual consent and non-binding.
- A network of individual environmental educators in both the formal and non-formal educators which is already organized within a Not-for-Profit Structure. ANJEE has 501(c)3 status.
- An annual conference to share information and exchange ideas.
- An annual retreat for professional development.
- A quarterly newsletter.
- Local, regional and statewide programs and workshops.
- A direct connection to the NJ Commission on Environmental Education.
- Support for Affiliate activities.
- Status as an ANJEE Special Committee. (The chairperson is amember of the ANJEE Executive board, but cannot vote)
- Individual members of the Affiliate group who are also members of ANJEE receive all ANJEE benefits. However, members of the Affiliate are not required to be members of ANJEE.
- The Affiliate may use the ANJEE 501(c)3 status to raise funds and seek grants to support their own activities and programs. However, the Affiliate liaison must advise the ANJEE Executive Board of such efforts and submit a copy of the proposal for review.
- The Affiliate's mission and activities must have a discernable relationship with ANJEE's goals.
- The Affiliate's mission must evolve from an environmental issueor need.
- The Affiliate's membership is free and open to the public.
- The Affiliate may not have a 501(c)3 status, or corporate status.
- The Affiliates must provide: an annual report including active membership list and finances, an ANJEE membership orientation at its annual general meeting, and a liaison to serve on the ANJEE Executive Board.
- The Affiliate must submit an application for approval to the ANJEE Executive Board.

The Watershed Partnership for New Jersey (WPNJ)
